"If Quilts Could Talk" Book Review

I love this book! It is so cute you won't want to miss out on getting this one! I can't wait until our shop gets these fabrics. Each quilt is done so beautifully and the colors are to die for. I really like the meaning she is trying to put accross "Let Your LIfe Speak". I love it! I am think on making this for my teenage Daughter to hang above her bed. I just think this is one of my have to haves!!
You can get it from Amazon if your local store doesn't have it...I put the link below.

What Size to Make?

How many times do you just start to make a quilt and have no idea what size its going to be? As I was surfing around the internet I found the best site to help figure that out.
And I quote Right from the site "This is a great little calculator to estimate how much quilt material you will need if you are creating your own quilt. Just input the information requested and hit the calculate button. Always buy just-a-little-bit more to allow for miscalculations and cutting mistakes". I was so excited to find this. I really could have used it a few quilts ago! LOL!

You can also buy the FabriCalc quilting calculator. I couldn't figure it out,  but several ladies in the guild have them and sear by them. It does everthing the one above does plus makes calculations for half square triangles, blocks, sashing, borders, backing, binding, batting and even the cost. I really wish I could figure it out!!
